Education Qualification for TRB Job Notice
Candidates for TRB TN Recruitment must hold a degree, B.ED, diploma in education, or equivalent from any university recognized by the University Grant Commission.
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (under whatever name recognized);
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in line with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002;
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Higher secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% grades and a two-year diploma in education (special education);
- Graduation and a two-year diploma in elementary education (by whatever name is known);
and
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Applicants with a D.Ed (Special Education) qualification must complete a 6-month special program in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE after being appointed.

- Written Examination, and Certificate Verification.
TN TRB SGTExam Syllabus & pattern :
Part – A: Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test (Objective Type – OMR Based):
The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is merely a qualifying test and will be administered objectively, with 30 questions worth 50 points. The test will last 30 minutes as Part A. This score will not be considered for ranking.
(i) The syllabus for the Tamil Language Eligibility Test is 10th standard level. (Hosted on the website).
(ii) Examinations with a minimum of 40% qualifying marks are eligible for further review of the answer sheet.
(iii) Follow the process outlined in G.O.(Ms.) No. 49, Human Resources (M) Department, dated 23.05.2022, to exclude differently abled applicants from the Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test.

Part – B: Main Subject (Objective type):
(i) The Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Based Examination will consist of a single three-hour paper with 150 multiple-choice questions. Each question is worth one mark. the syllabus for the written competitive examination will be followed up to the level of Xth Std. in the subjects viz. Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Urdu, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. Each subject will have one paper with 30 objective type questions, a total of 150 questions.
