Education Qualification for IIT Madras Job Notice
1. Chief Security Officer (Group A) Essential Qualification: (i) A Master's Degree from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University / Institute (ii). At least 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role in the Pay Matrix Level-11 (Pre-revised PB-3: GP 6600) of the Central/State Government. or Major of the Army, comparable rank in the Navy/Air Force, or equivalent in the Police/Security cadre of government organizations/PSUs
2. Assistant Registrar (Group A) – Essential Qualification: Master's degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade on a point scale, and a strong academic record. Desirable Qualification: Professional qualification in management, finance, and accounting. At least eight years of relevant experience at the managerial level or in an equivalent position in the government, government research establishments, universities, statutory organizations, or government organizations of high reputation. Knowledge of computer applications and office automation. Candidates should have experience with administrative/finance/accounting/academic/legal/audit/stores/purchases/establishment problems.
3. Sports Officer (Group A) – Candidates must have a Master's degree in Physical Education/Sports Science with at least 55% marks and 5 years of relevant experience, and they must have represented their university/institute at the state/national level. They should also specialize in at least one sport, such as Hockey, Athletics, Swimming, Football, Basketball, Badminton, and so on.
4. Junior Superintendent (Group B). Essential Qualification: A bachelor's degree in Arts/Science or Humanities, including Commerce, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university and 6 years of administrative experience. Desirable Qualification: Proficiency with computer office software such as MS Word and MS Excel.
5. Assistant Security Officer (Group B) - Requirements: Bachelor's degree with at least 60% or comparable CGPA from a recognized university/institute, military/police/NCC/firefighting training, 6 years of related experience, and the ability to operate a light vehicle/motorcycle.
6. Physical Training Instructor (Group B) - Essential Qualification: Graduate with a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent with at least 60% marks and three years of relevant experience in any recognized institution, and candidates must have represented their university/institute at the state/national level.
7. Junior Assistant (Group C) - Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Arts/Sciences or Humanities, including Commerce, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university/institute and expertise of computer operations.
8. Cook (Group C) - Required Qualification: B.Sc in Hotel Management & Catering Technology with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a recognized University / Institute and 3 years of relevant experience, or Three-year Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a recognized University / Institute and 5 years of relevant experience.
9. Driver (Group C) - Essential Qualification: 10+2 with light and heavy-duty driving licenses with badges, plus two years of experience.
10. Security Guard (Group C) Essential Qualification: SSLC with Physical Fitness Standards. Desirable NCC Certificate
